How would you like to walk around with a cool $11 million in your pocket? That is the price the most expensive watch in the world, sold for by Sotheby’s back in 1999.

This is not your daddy’s Timex!

The Henry Graves Supercomplication 1932 holds the title of the most expensive watch in the world.

The Henry Graves Supercomplication – $11 million. Yellow-gold pocket watch with two faces and 24 complications, this exquisite time piece took four years to build. It was made by Patek Philippe & Co., a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.

Caliber 89 – $5 million. Another Patek Philippe creation, this 18-karat white gold clock watch has 33 functions and has the title of the most complicated watch in the world.  The clock has dials for sunrise and sunset and dials for a second time zone.

Platinum World Time – $4.02 million.  This is the most expensive wrist watch ever made, as far as we know it is the only one made in the world.

Model 2523 Heures Universelles -$2.8 million. This 18-karat timepiece is a world time watch with a map of North America made with an intricate design with polychrome cloisonné enamel.

Model 2499 First Series $2.2 million.  Only 5 of these have showed up in public auction. It is an 18-karat rose-gold watch.

Model 1591 – $2.26 million. This is a stainless steel wrist watch, only 1 of 2 made. It is the most expensive stainless steel watch ever sold.

Model 2499 First Series – $2.1 million. This is an 18-karat rose-gold wrist watch with a perpetual calendar and moon-phase dial.

Grand Complication 1926 – $1.98 million. Henry Graves Jr., a prominent New York financier had this watch made for him. The Grande Complication watch has 12 complications including a bi-directional winding mechanism, twin-barrel and a perpetual calendar.

The Grogan – $1.94 million. This wristwatch has a cushion shaped case and made for a left had wearer.

The Officier – $1.91 million. An 18-karat yellow gold and has a chronograph and a 60-minute register.
