3. Walmart

Trademark value: $32.6 billion

Market cap: $184 billion

Walmart is the world’s largest retailer. It now has over 2 million employees and nearly 9,000 stores worldwide.

4. IBM

Trademark value: $32.6 billion

Market cap: $199 billion

IBM hold the record for the most patents compared to any other technology company. IBM has been diversifying its portfolio to include software manufactures in a variety of fields. The company is known for its hardware-heavy portfolio.

5. Vodaphone

Trademark value: $30.7 billion

Market cap: $138 billion

Not well known in the US, but Vodaphone operates one of the largest mobile telecommunication networks in the world.  Vodaphone has over 340 million customers in more than 20 countries.

Wells Fargo became one of the largest banking systems in the US after recent takeovers mergers

Trademark value: $28.9 billion

Market cap: $182 billion

Largest provider of mobile, local and long distance telephone services in the U.S., with about 95 million subscribers and counting.
