According to reports, Ryan Sheckler a pro skateboarder and star of MTVs Life of Ryan was a victim of embezzlement at the hands of his chief financial officer Matthew Mercuro.
Mercuro is currently being held on $400,000 bail in Huntington Beach. He was accused of “having access to the accounts of the two businesses, Ryan Sheckler Rips LLC and Sheckler Merch 2 LLC… [and] embezzling over $365,000 from these companies by transferring money from the corporate accounts into personal accounts and the account of his wife and a friend.”
Mercuro should have the book thrown at him for taking advantage of a 19 year old.
If convicted, Mercuro faces up to six years and eight months in state prison.
